Think Aztec (think big!):

The Story

A pandemic scanning project, Think Aztec, I rediscovered my negatives from a college assignment that were never printed other than for a grade.

These images feature curbs in New York City and Chicago, and taken with my camera resting on or just above the street. I have over 40 original shots.

Images seen from the gutter, a worm’s perspective, create the sense of a huge, deep landscape, which I find humorous and grandiose. Love the perspective not to mention the miscellaneous ‘stuff’ going on above and beyond the curbs.

Using Kodak Tri-X black and white film – ASA 200, loaded from bulk rolls, I used a Minolta SLR camera with a 28mm wide angle lens.
